News: Autism Friendly Screenings August 2011
— Artsline, Monday 25 July, 19:46
Dear all,
Please see below for details of our upcoming Autism-Friendly Screenings across London. We also offer Autism-Friendly screenings for Schools, if you are interested in receiving the schools’ newsletter please send an email to elinor.w@picturehouses.co.uk and I’ll add you to the list.
Picturehouse cinemas are working in partnership with The National Autistic Society to hold special film screenings for people on the autism spectrum and their families, friends and carers. During the film low lights are left on inside the auditorium and the volume of the soundtrack is reduced. It is fine for customers to move around, make a noise or take a break during the film if they need to.
Tickets £3.00
(there are no concessions or free tickets for support workers). Wheelchair users MUST book in advance.
The National Autistic Society is the UK's leading charity for people affected by autism. If you need information, advice and support, call The National Autistic Society's Autism Helpline FREE on
0808 800 4104 (Mon-Fri, 10-4).
Feedback and suggestions are welcome.
Enjoy the summer holidays and the great films on offer!
Best wishes,
Elinor Walpole
