In addition to this, in line with our current exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace – Victoria & Albert: Art & Love – we have 10 BSL video clips that are accessible either in the Gallery on computer kiosks, or online on our website at: http://www.royalcollection.org.uk/microsites/vanda
This year, at the Summer Opening of the State Rooms at Buckingham Palace, we will be offering a hand-held BSL video tour for sign language users. Buckingham Palace is open to the public from 27 July – 1 October.
For our blind and partially-sighted visitors we have verbal description audios at Windsor Castle, with new tours in development for the Royal Mews, Buckingham Palace – available from 31 May – and the Summer Opening of the State Room, Buckingham Palace – available from the 27 July.
Verbal Description events, exploring the Victoria & Albert: Art & Love exhibition are also running on the 23 June and 20 October, from 2pm. Events explore the key themes of the exhibition through description of key pieces. Entrance to the event is included in the standard admission price.
