Summer Theatre Project for Deaf/BSL students
ALRA (The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts) with DRoots Theatre Company present:
A Shotgun Wedding – a theatre project
Learn the basics of stage acting through rehearsals and classes. You will work with a professional director, professional actors and professional tutors. The project includes a performance in the ALRA theatre followed by a short tour.
Who is it for?
You must be between 16-25 years of age. Deaf/BSL using, or hearing/BSL using (Grade 2+)

Mon 20th July – Saturday 7th August 2009
A Shotgun Wedding is a new play by Steven Webb. 12 students will work with director David Ellington and 2 professional actors over 2 weeks to rehearse and stage the play. The play will be performed and staged at the ALRA Theatre and then on one week’s tour of venues around the country.
