News: Liberty Festival 2008
— Artsline, 3 September 2008, 22:02
Artsline had a stand at the Liberty Festival held on the 30th August in Trafalgar Square displaying its new and very vibrant leaflets advertising its excellent web site on acess data to London's arts and entertainment venues and having on display a lap top which visitors to the festival could view the access data base. There were many such visitors and in addition several concerns expressed to the Artsline staff at the lack of access to some venues and the attitude of venue managements. The details have been taken up immediately that day with the local authorities involved so that their relevant officers can raise the concerns with the venues.
We are now getting 60,000 visitors to our web site each month and we had a great many visitors to our Liberty Festival stand last Saturday.
The day was hot, very hot, but the festival was a great success; with the concerts and the liaison between the various organisations displaying their work and indeed Artsline made several such agreements to meet up with other disability and other organisations including our future involvement with the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2012.
We also sold many of our T-shirts which is a welcome revenue to Artsline.
Here's to next year's Festival and hope to see you there.
