| Description | / £5 (£3 concs) Bernard Kops is one of Britain’s most celebrated and prolific authors. He has written more than forty plays for stage and radio, nine novels and two autobiographies. In 2009, in recognition of his literary work, he had the rare honour of a Civil List pension being conferred on him by the Queen. Last year This Room in the Sunlight was published: a major collection of poems from his seven previous volumes and some new work, covering his preoccupations with love and death, reflecting his early breakdown and drug addiction, family life, growing up in London’s East End, growing old and his Jewish identity. |
