Inspired by the true story of Herculin Barbin, Sarah Leaver brings us a remarkable story of the struggle of an individual born between genders Thursday 25th March 8pm with Jacqui Beckford (Upstairs) Dates of Audio Described Performances Every Year, Every Day, I Am Walking Magnet Theatre, Cape town Award-Winning African Physical Theatre Aggie and Ernestine are sisters and best friends. Playing together in their rural idyll, life couldn't be happier. That is, until their lives are shattered by violence. Friday 12th March 7.45pm with Pauline Brandt and Eleanor Margolies (Downstairs) Memoirs of a Hermaphrodite Friday 26th March 8pm with Ruth James and Alison Clarke (Upstairs) Tickets to our audio described shows include the option of a touch tour before. (Video link auditorium) Venue Information Video link auditorium Although our upstairs theatre is not wheelchair accessible, Oval House Theatre has introduced a creative solution and would like to introduce the new Video-link Auditorium. This is a specially adapted ground floor room with a large screen linked by live video relay to our upstairs theatre and wheelchair access. Audiences also have the opportunity to meet cast and company members before the show. Tickets to broadcasts are free and group bookings for special viewings can be arranged. |
