MYSTERY SHOPPING PROJECT
The Mystery Shopping Project is the keystone of our work. We have a team of Deaf and disabled ‘Mystery Shoppers’ across the UK who go to gigs, concerts and festivals for us and fill in a detailed feedback form about what they experience, covering staff attitude as well as physical access, and looking at a broad range of access issues.
Mystery Shoppers check out Charter venues for us, along with local music venues of their choice. It is these reports that inform our work with venues, both in the ongoing assessment of Charter venues and in discovering issues with other venues, both positive and negative…
We pass on feedback, helping venues to identify barriers and offering training and auditing services so that they may improve their access.

Would you like to join the project..?
To become a Mystery Shopper, all you have to do is:
- Have a thorough read of our INTRODUCTION LETTER
- Complete the REGISTRATION & EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FORM and e-mail it to us.
Then, you can ‘Shop’:
- Choose a gig* (and check it with us).
*Our monthly newsletter, e-mailed or posted to all Mystery Shoppers and featured on this page (above) will also have some gig suggestions, and may mention specific venues we need to be shopped. Our Charter venues are listed on the link above, as are a number of useful music listings websites.
- Book tickets - one for yourself and, if you’d like, one for a personal assistant
- Attend the event, fill in a MYSTERY SHOPPING FORM (VENUES) and e-mail it to us along with an INVOICE FORM for your tickets and travel expenses to get a refund.
